1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PrivHaven (the "Service"), operated by Mitikasha LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. PrivHaven is a product of Mitikasha LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its principal place of business at 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.

2. Description of Service

PrivHaven is a browser-based application for detecting and removing personal data (PII) from files such as CSV exports, and for producing a reproducible record of what it detected and handled. All processing runs locally on your device, inside your browser; your files are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. The Service offers a free tier and a paid PrivHaven Pro tier that unlocks additional capabilities.

3. Not Legal Advice or Certification

PrivHaven is a tool that helps you detect and remove personal data and document the process. It is not legal advice and not a certification of compliance with the GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or any other framework. Using PrivHaven does not "make you compliant," and a PrivHaven report is not an approval, certificate, or guarantee. A report attests a deterministic process and its findings as facts; any compliance conclusion is drawn by you, together with your own counsel, data-protection officer, or auditor.

4. No Guarantee of Completeness

Detection is based on validated patterns, checksums, and header and context signals. It cannot guarantee that every piece of personal data is found — in particular, names and other identifiers embedded in free-text prose are not guaranteed without a separate review, which the Service may not perform. The Service is designed to surface uncertainty rather than silently pass it, but you remain responsible for reviewing findings. See the detection rules and limits.

5. Licenses and Tiers

5.1 Free and Pro

Scanning, manual redaction, masking and dropping of columns, and downloading the cleaned file are available at no charge; free scrubbing is limited to 10,000 rows. PrivHaven Pro unlocks the reproducible compliance report, tokenization, and scrubbing files of any size, and is offered as a recurring Subscription. A device-bound license token activates paid features on your device(s) in accordance with the purchased plan.

5.2 Billing

PrivHaven Pro is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record and handles payment processing, tax calculation, invoicing, and billing compliance. By purchasing, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms. Charges on your statement may appear as "Lemon Squeezy" or "LMSQUEEZY." There are no one-time or lifetime licenses. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5.3 License Use

Your license token is bound to your device and is for your own use. You may not share, resell, sublicense, or publish your license token, or attempt to generate, tamper with, or circumvent license tokens or the Service's licensing and usage controls.

6. Your Data and Responsibility

You retain all rights to the data you process with PrivHaven; we never receive it. You are solely responsible for the data you handle and for ensuring you have the right to view, transform, scrub, or modify it.

Verifying results is your responsibility. PrivHaven's detection and scrubbing operations are designed to be accurate and reproducible, but automated processing cannot be guaranteed correct for every file or use case. You must review the findings and verify the output before relying on or distributing any cleaned file or report. PrivHaven provides an instrument and evidence, not a guarantee of correctness, and does not provide legal, financial, or professional advice.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's proprietary engine or components
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with licensing, security, or usage controls
  • Resell or redistribute the Service or your license token without authorization
  • Use the Service to infringe the rights of others or to process data you are not authorized to handle

8. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its design, code, user interface, detection rules, and its processing engine — is owned by Mitikasha LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; they do not transfer any ownership to you. You retain ownership of your own data and its contents.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains that your data is processed locally and never sent to us.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that detection will find every instance of personal data in your files.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mitikasha LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, or for any personal data that was not detected, or any conclusion drawn from a report. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access or license if you materially violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; uninstalling or clearing site data removes your local license.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
